Smiles All Around Despite the Raindrops

What a great day at Hand and Hand’s Women’s Recovery Center!

Towers For Change’s staff and friends gathered at the center and with just a few snags and a couple of scattered raindrops, provided and built the center a Tower Garden.

Along with the tower itself, TFC also provided 20 seedlings to get the tower started along with the minerals needed to keep it growing, a cart so it can be moved easily and a tomato cage for when those tomatoes get unruly.

The tower is now up and running and growing tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, green beans, red and yellow peppers, basil and chives. The added section on the top is ready to grow an additional 24 herbs. These herbs can be used in the kitchen or dried and sold at farmer’s markets for added income for the center.

We want to thank Tiffany Koppang for being the Champion for this project and want to especially thank all of you who made it possible by your donations.
